My Review

As tempting as it sounds, having the ability to replay your entire life and have access to memories and your own history with a touch of a button is not conducive for a healthy life. On the surface it might be a good idea, but if you really look further, it presents a lot of problems. In this world you can’t lie because people will just replay their memories of that particular conversation and call you out on your lie. This is where Fi made her mistake. By lying to Liam and keeping it from him, this essentially led to the downfall of their marriage.

How Liam went about in finding out the truth about what happened between Jonas and Fi is the wrong way to go about it, but since he was drunk and wasn’t thinking clearly and was jealous and probably paranoid, it all led to him assaulting Jonas and Fi to tell him the truth and to comply with his demands. I really can’t blame him for breaking apart like that. With one suspicion at a dinner party, his whole life just came tumbling down.

There are definitely good benefits to having a Grain installed in your head, but I wouldn’t volunteer to have one implanted in me. Kudos to that one woman who had hers taken out. I wonder if in this world, everyone born is immediately implanted a Grain. Liam and Fi’s baby already had one. Thinking about it, we probably aren’t far off from this becoming a reality. Kids these days use iPads/iPhones as early as two years old and they sort of know how to use them that we might as well be born with chips implanted in us. It’s amazing how fast technology has advanced since 2000.

It was cool to see Tom Cullen playing Jonas. I know him as Tatiana Maslany’s boyfriend.
