My Review
Well, I think this was the first episode this season that I actually liked from beginning to end (not including the brief scenes of Boring Tom). It was engaging, suspenseful, and I don’t think the Underwoods did anything underhanded or committed any illegal acts, lol. I like seeing them work together when they’re up against a unified enemy and it’s moments like this that I couldn’t help but root for them to still come out on top. I’m so conflicted because in the previous episode, I commented that they need to get their comeuppance already.
LeAnn coming to the rescue again, thanks to her contacts, with getting that recording of Brockhart and revealing the link between him and General Braegher which led the Underwoods to think that this whole radiation threat was orchestrated by both generals. So does this mean that Brockhart is probably a goner/no longer a viable VP candidate once this recording comes out?
Did Claire threaten LeAnn when she said that it’s not Macallan they need to worry about, it’s whoever got Macallan into this mess in the first place? Was she talking about LeAnn or was she talking about the Russians? LeAnn did not look happy after that conversation.
Who is Davis and what is the connection between her, Cathy, and Claire? Is she going to help the Underwoods capture Ahmadi?
Frank has pictures of Boring Tom fucking that White House tour guide. Hoo boy, I wonder when he’s going to tell Claire about that. I can’t wait for Claire to rip him a new one. Hmm, will Frank order a hit on Boring Tom after that?
Seth and Sean are still working together and Seth is close to finding out the relationship between Doug and that widow. This should be interesting. I really can’t wait for Seth to expose everything that Doug has done because Doug is a piece of you-know-what. Sean should introduce Seth and Journalist Tom because two heads are better than one! Journalist Tom getting confirmation that Doug, Rachel, and her girlfriend were all acquainted had me rubbing my hands with glee. He’s getting closer.
I hope Nora Cafferty, the one who yelled at Frank and told him that he’s not the president, doesn’t get fired and that she doesn’t quit. She was only doing her job and I’m glad that Claire understood that and told her that people say things in the heat of the moment that they regret, that it’s only human.
