Episode Title: Kimmy Gets Divorced?!
Original Air Date: May 19, 2017
Episode Number: 3×01
Back in New York, Titus goes to great lengths to score an audition for “Sesame Street.” Jacqueline encourages Kimmy to play hardball with the Reverend.
Welcome back, show! Now it’s time to resume the outrageousness that this show is known for and, boy, did it deliver on that front.
Titus auditioning for Sesame Street…that may or may not have scarred people’s childhood. 😨 Not cool, show! That better not be a new boyfriend we saw with Mikey because I won’t be able to handle him and Titus not being together.
Lillian dating Robert Durst and then breaking up with him in a public park just in case he ends up murdering her was very funny. Fred Armisen as Durst is so bizarrely weird and yet so engaging and hilarious.
Kimmy and Jacqueline torturing the reverend was very funny and Jacqueline actually had some very good advice for Kimmy in the end in having her contest the divorce so that she could use the money to go to college.
And now, a few of my favorite lines of dialogue:
“I pronounce you Superman and wife.”
“They’re executing my best man in three days and they ran out of drugs so they’re just going to throw him off the roof.”
“Oh no. He killed you and now you’re a ghost? I don’t want to make sexy pottery with you.”
“Why don’t our shins have butts?”
