Olivia experiences “awake dreams,” seeing elaborate visions of things not really there. While investigating a disturbing case of a woman who apparently spontaneously combusted, Olivia throws caution to the wind and explores her unexplained visions further. Meanwhile, Walter discusses key information about the Z.F.T. manifesto, and Peter reveals a secret that yields unexpected results in the case.
This show. THIS SHOW. 😱 Olivia’s visions got me all giddy because I know what’s coming (no spoilers here for new viewers of the show) and I can’t wait to see the awesomeness unfold all over again in the finale episode. If I’m watching this with virgin eyes, I would have been all “WTF is happening and why is Olivia having these visions/dreams?!” It was pretty cool seeing her reaction the first time she thought she saw two charred bodies while everyone else only sees one. Then she makes a comment about Broyles’ desk being moved and Broyles is all “What are you on, Dunham?” and then we had that scene where she sees the Boston skyline up in flames. Whoa at that last one.
So cool how Peter’s device helped them with the case and led them to Harris who’s a freaking traitor and was part of ZFT this whole time! I’m laughing because for some reason, this bit of information got lost in my head and I totally didn’t remember that he was more evil than just being a royal pain in the ass to Olivia and the team. That asshole got everyone fooled so I was cheering when Nancy roasted him like the pig that he is.
Back to the device that Peter made for Walter, how thoughtful was that of him? I loved everyone’s reactions when he said what the electron microscope does: Astrid and Olivia smiling sweetly, Walter grinning and so full of love. So cute. And then Astrid telling Peter “You sound just like him” when he was trying to explain how the window pane would help solve their case. Walter’s smile? Priceless.
How about that ending with Nina Sharp? Oh dear. On whose orders were those goons operating? This is a genuine question because I honestly don’t remember even though I’ve probably watched this season about three times now, lol. She better be okay!
Olivia confronting Walter and asking him what he and William Bell to those kids just breaks my heart. Olivia just wants answers, but the only person (or so she thinks) who can provide them doesn’t remember and truly believes that he was just helping Bell back then and that they were doing a good thing. Walter being so happy when he found the original copy of the manifesto and feeling validated when it said that children are the future and need to be nurtured and trained to have them become soldiers/protectors…man, that is some rough shit. Imagine being experimented on at three years old and having these experiments come back to haunt and ruin your life 25 years later. Who wants that for their life?
September showing up and telling Walter it’s time to go…what?! Time to go where and to do what? I need answers, people! Cool thing after September shows up at the lab: Walter calls Astrid by her correct name thinking that it’s her who entered the lab only for it to be September so Astrid never knew that he called her by her correct name!
