“That’s your idea of the future? Why are there still chairs? Where were our alien captors?”

Original Air Date: April 11, 2017
Episode Number: 3×19

Episode Description

Louis worries Grandma’s new motorized wheelchair gives her too much freedom, and makes it a point to keep a close eye on her. Meanwhile, Jessica fears that Emery’s sentimental ways have turned him into a hoarder, and Eddie tries to hustle his way into Evan’s already-successful side business.

My Review

Aww, Louis being concerned about Grandma Huang was really sweet, but she is right that she needs time for herself and a little freedom to be able to do things on her own time.

Emery being a hoarder because he had a hard time when the family first moved into Orlando was a surprise. Emery might be the perfect kid on the surface, but he seems like he’s the one who’s a little troubled. I still remember that episode where he bottled up his screams every time he got frustrated because he didn’t want to upset anyone or have anyone see him being upset.

Evan cutting off the middle man and hiring Dave and firing Eddie made me laugh. Eddie’s own advice worked against himself.

I laughed so hard at Louis using MS Word to write that letter and getting annoyed at “Clippy.” Seriously, only 90s kids would remember that horrible time of that damn annoying Clippy who served absolutely no purpose whatsoever.

Lastly, Louis looking at the nutritional information about the chips Grandma wants and saying “So much sodium. How is she still alive? Maybe that’s why she’s still alive?” cracked me up.
