Earn’s coworker comes by and returns the important item he desperately needed—a key which unlocks the storage facility space he is living in.

My Review

That ending kind of broke my heart. Earn desperately looking for his jacket only for us to find out in the end that he was looking for the key to his storage facility all along and that’s where he’s been staying when he’s not staying with Al or Van or his friends. It’s actually eye-opening to have this show show us that just because someone has a song on the radio and are somewhat famous for that one song, it’s not exactly all party all the time and none of them are rolling on dough. The music business is all glamorized nowadays so it’s refreshing to see the reality of artists struggling and the people who support them. It’s a hard life and they’re all just trying to earn money the same way we all do. Well, it’s different for Al since he’s in the drug trade, but you know what I mean.

It made me smile when Al gave Earn some money and he gave the majority of it to Van and Lottie. It also made me smile to see him spend time with them and even cooking them dinner. So cute when he and Van were in the couch just hanging out and watching TV.

Darius was funny through the end. Him not liking being filmed was pretty hilarious especially his reason: “It takes your soul, man.” I feel you, Darius. I don’t like having my picture taken or having myself being videotaped either.

Great first season of this show. Kudos to Donald Glover and to the rest of the cast and the crew. Brilliant and makes you think. All the praise are so well-deserved. Here’s to season two!
