Carrie handles her client. Saul’s trip takes a turn. Quinn investigates.
Well, that took a turn. I had a weird feeling something was going to happen when we saw Sekou driving and I was expecting his van to blow up while crossing the bridge and when it didn’t, I thought, “Hmm, maybe something else will happen” and then BOOM. Well, Quinn just got validated that there’s a conspiracy surrounding Carrie and that someone is out to get her. Question is who?
Is it Dar Adal? Is it the FBI? Is it the President-Elect? My money is on the FBI right now. They probably planted that spy across Carrie’s house after she took on Sekou’s case and then when Sekou got released, they used their trump card in framing him as a suicide bomber. Of course, he’s going to make it easy for the FBI to be right about him by making that video and putting it up online. (More on this later.) I think Sekou’s two friends are just red herrings and they didn’t really plant that bomb.
Circling back to Sekou, I really, really, REALLY wanted Carrie to slap him upside his head for being an ignorant, unrepentant, idiotic fool. Yes, freedom of speech, blah blah blah, but he was acting like an entitled little bitch to Carrie and acting like he was owed the world. Ungrateful bastard. If I were Carrie, I would have given up and left him on his own after he said “Good” when Carrie said that him posting all those ugly stuff online offends her. Good riddance, dude.
Saul getting kidnapped for two episodes in a row…it’s kinda hilarious at this point. Thankfully an “attack” in NYC saves him so Atai releases him. Saul can’t win, can he? He’s making enemies of Israel because of his insistence to trust in the Iranians to honor the deal that they made several years back. Saul is lucky that his sister covered for him back at her place. Of course, Atai doesn’t believe any of their story, but still.
Dar Adal and Carrie threatening each other was pretty entertaining. I can’t wait to see more of these two jawing at each other. It was also pretty great to see Keane telling Dar to stop the bullshit.
The season is starting to heat up now. Can’t wait to see the fallout of this bomb.
