As Lucy grapples with her newfound identity, Flynn disappears to 1927 France on the day that Charles Lindbergh completes his transatlantic flight. Now, Rufus, Lucy and their new soldier scramble through the City of Lights and team with young reporter, Ernest Hemingway, to keep history intact. Meanwhile, locked in an undisclosed location, a despondent Wyatt gets a visit from Agent Christopher, and the pair is left wondering if their enemies are closer than they realize.
The show continues its run of great episodes with another strong one this week. It’s a bit of a more calm episode compared to last week’s episode, but we need these types of episodes from time to time. It was cool to see Lucy and Wyatt meet Ernest Hemingway, Josephine Baker, and Charles Lindbergh.
Lucy being awed by Hemingway and letting it slip that she’s read all of his books and him getting confused since he’s only written one so far was a cute scene. Rufus’ (and Lucy’s) reaction to seeing Josephine Baker singing was priceless. I loved that she was able to help in her own way.
Too bad about Baumgardner, but he wasn’t meant to last anyway. He really should have brought a gun from 2017 with him then maybe he’d still be alive.
I really liked Lucy’s conversation with Lindbergh, that no one should dictate their futures, that it’s theirs to decide. Unfortunately, it didn’t work because he still became a grade-A asshole. Interesting that he turned out like that because I never knew that about him. Lucy’s conversation with Josephine was another good scene. I especially liked the moment where Josephine explained what The Lost Generation meant as Hemingway calls them.
Rufus and Hemingway were also very good especially when Rufus railed on him that he’s fought his own wars and how the Great War was overrated, etc. I also liked the reason Hemingway gave as to why he is the way he is. I totally get it. You only get to live once, right?
I’m excited to see the team of Agent Christopher and Time Team working together. This should be great. Lucy, Rufus, and Jiya will act as spies and report back what Rittenhouse is up to. I just hope they don’t get in over their heads because Rittenhouse is not to be fucked with.
Why do I have a feeling that Lucy’s mom knows more than she lets on about Lucy’s father and him being a member of Rittenhouse?
