Episode Title: Not Everything’s About Annalise
Original Air Date: February 2, 2017
Episode Number: 3×11
Annalise reaches her breaking point as she struggles to adapt to her new reality behind bars, but a surprise confession to Wes’ murder could change everything. Meanwhile, the K4 find their own freedom at risk as they discover the D.A.’s investigation is much bigger than they imagined.
Oh man, Bonnie’s plan not working was a shock. She convinced Laurel to lie to the detectives so that Frank will get charged and then they’ll release Annalise, but what happened is not what she was hoping for. Instead, Frank gets charged as Annalise’s co-conspirator and Annalise is still in jail. Now they’re all going to work twice as hard to have both of them cleared. That’s mission impossible right there.
At this point, I have no idea who killed Wes. I just know it’s not anyone in the cast and it sure as hell not Bonnie. Why would she want to kill Wes? Did she know that he was negotiating something with the detectives and that’s why she would off him? I guess we’ll see once everything unfolds little by little.
Laurel’s scene with the detectives was very good (kudos to Karla Souza) and I would have believed her story, too. She has good reason to be suspicious of Meggy and this is the first time that Meggy’s been thrown into the suspect mix so let’s see where this one leads. I did laugh at her reasoning for why Meggy’s acting sketchy: visiting her and giving her jello. Asher saying “But isn’t that just being nice?” was equally funny. Hell, I’m with Laurel though. I always get suspicious whenever someone would be nice to me because I just know they have an ulterior motive and that they want something in exchange.
Still not liking Connor this season at all. I’m over the character.
Hargrove visiting Annalise in jail came out of nowhere. I wonder why that scene was there in the first place. Are we supposed to suspect that she had a hand in Annalise being in jail? Hmm?
Loved the scene of the gang in Laurel’s room watching The Golden Girls. I especially loved that Michaela was lying on Laurel’s bed. Michaela’s concern for Laurel is the best.
Michaela was a total boss in this episode and I loved how she took charge and told Connor to shut the fuck up. Asher impersonating a Swedish masseur was adorable and sweet. He just wanted to thank her in his own dorky way for what she did.
