Episode Title: We’re Bad People
Original Air Date: January 26, 2017
Episode Number: 3×10
With Annalise in jail facing arson and first-degree murder charges, the D.A.’s office continues to build their case against her, and the police investigate what happened to Wes on the night of the house fire. Meanwhile, the Keating 4 try to cope with the devastating realization that one of their own is dead.
I thought this was a bit boring, but it’s understandable since we had to explore the aftermath of everyone finding out about Wes’ death. The flashbacks were okay, nothing revelatory. I liked Wes’ scene with Michaela the best because it was cute and I loved that she was the first one who knew about Wes and Laurel. I also loved that she referred to Laurel as “our (Wes and Michaela’s) girl.” I will forever be a shipper of Laurel and Michaela’s friendship so I enjoyed seeing Michaela stay at the hospital to be with Laurel.
What the fuck was Connor’s deal? He’s really become such a hateful person and it’s not attractive at all. No one’s stopping him from walking into the police station and blabbing to the police about what really happened with Wes so why isn’t he doing that? If he’s angry at Annalise and blames her for everything, all he needs to do is tell the police. Does he even care about the rest of the Keating gang? It sure as hell didn’t seem like it in this episode so if he’s not protecting them, why hasn’t he gone to the police yet?
Good on Asher for punching him. I couldn’t believe he would say something like that in Laurel’s presence; Laurel, who’s still suffering from the loss of her boyfriend whom she loved and the father of her baby. “You should get an abortion because Waitlist is not the type of father you would want for your child.” My jaw literally dropped during this line. Talk about not having any kind of sympathy. Fuck you, Connor!
The opening scene with Annalise getting booked and the intercutting of Wes’ autopsy was pretty eerie at how similar the scenes were. Poor Annalise. I really hope Bonnie figures out a way to bail Annalise out because I don’t think she’ll last long in that cell. Nice to see Rose from Lost as the kinder cell mate.
Laurel telling Frank that it should have been him who died in that fire was COLD. Even colder was this line she said to him: “I loved him so much more than I have ever loved you.” Ouch. Laurel is so done with Frank and his shit. I wonder if this was what drove Frank to confess to the police or if it’s because he doesn’t want Annalise to take the fall.
Nate, why you so useless? I hope he figures out who bribed the ME to change her initial suspicion that Wes died before the fire? That way he won’t be so useless.
