“I don’t believe that the moon exists”

Episode Title: Ka laina ma ke one (Line In the Sand)
Original Air Date: January 20, 2017
Episode Number: 7×14

Episode Description

Five-0 must go up against an aggressive U.S. marshall, Lincoln, when a man wanted for murder escapes capture and seeks asylum in the sovereign land belonging to the Nation of Hawaii.

My Review

Well, the US Marshals showing up was a bit of an overreaction. It hasn’t even been 24 hours and the team has barely made inroads into the investigation and then they have the Marshals breathing down their necks. No pressure.

On the other hand, the leader of that Nation has good morals, but to compromise the safety of his nation and his fellow countrymen just to protect one person’s freedom? Come on.

I felt like Lou Diamond Phillips’s guest appearance was a letdown and a waste. They should have given him another role in another episode.

Jerry vetting for roommates was pretty funny especially that one guy he interviewed who doesn’t believe the moon is real and that we all are just avatars being controlled by creatures.

Loved the beginning McDanno scene with Steve taking his driving test and scaring the shit out of the DMV employee, lol. Danny teasing him non-stop was one of the highlights of the episode along with Danny talking to Chin and interpreting what Steve is thinking while talking on the phone with the governor. “You know your boy very well.” Yes, he does.
